Wk 5 and 6 studio activities

Cardboard model (scale 1:20)
This model was not exactly to scale but gave me a good starting point practicing my model making as this first one was quite rough with unrefined edges and joints. The tape is clearly visible.
with an added mezzanine

Paper model (scale 1:20)
Pros: easy to manipulate and crisp edges
Cons: walls wouldn't stay straight and left creases easily

Analysis: the scale is too big for paper as the paper is not strong enough to hold shape

Fusion 360

First attempt model
changed my design

went back into that panel to take out parts to add a 3rd rectangular prism

ai laser cut file
Paper folding techniques
crumple
Simple spirals
felt structurally strong and it could hold the weight of a smallish book

V pleats
Though this could potentially make a cool stairway however the angle of the folds were not at 0 and 90 degrees
